City Classic Car, Houston’s Premier Restoration & Restomod Shop, offers this beautiful 1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible that reminds all of a ‘50’s drive in on a Saturday night. Were pretty sure you can hear the Happy Days theme song if you listen closely. This restored beauty brings back memories. This V-8 ragtop is complete with newly appointed interior and beautiful pearl paint scheme of blue and white ppg DBC. This classic winning car was a complete and thorough restoration probably (by our estimation) fifteen years ago. However, it shows like a recent restoration given new interior and fresh paint scheme finished in premium PPG DBC DCU 2021 high ppg clear. The finish, chrome , interior, and top are outstanding. The paint has zero flaws, The interior has zero flaws, the chassis and frame components were clearly restored in the last 10-15 years in our estimation. A true joy to drive!! Fresh from the estate of a well known collector here in the Texas Region.

1955 Ford Sunliner Convertible finished in a brilliant Waterfall Blue/white paint accented by the white convertible top. Powered by a 272 cubic inch V8 and a smooth shifting Fordomatic transmission. With a two-tone interior appointed with a medium blue and light blue along with the impeccable chromework make this car a sight to behold. The American Ford line of cars gained a new body for 1955 to keep up with surging Chevrolet. Power was bumped up to 223 CID (3.7 L) for 120 hp (89 kW) and the new-for-1954 Y-block V8 was now offered in two sizes: Standard Fords used a 272 CID (4.5 L) version with 162 hp (121 kW) with 2-barrel carburetor and single exhaust or 182 hp with 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust, but the large 292 CID (4.8 L) unit from the Thunderbird was also offered, boasting 193 hp (144 kW).

Apart from the engine changes, customers were sure to notice the new panoramic windshields found on Oldsmobiles, Buicks, and Cadillacs the previous year. With this panoramic windshield, the A-pillars have a vertical angle. This gives the driver more panoramic visibility. Moreover, for the first time, Ford offered seat belts as a dealer option (not factory installed, with instructions provided by a Service Bulletin). This is your opportunity to own a piece of American Automotive History.
